Originally settled in 1649, Norwalk, Connecticut is one of the nation’s oldest and most historically rich towns.  Part of famed Fairfield County, one of the most affluent in the country, Norwalk is home to over 10% of the county’s population.  It is a stone’s throw from New York City (a mere 30 minutes away) and home to one of Connecticut’s largest recreational marinas.  Fairfield County is home to offices of large multinational corporations such as GE, GTE, and Xerox, as well as a thriving small business community.

Medical Facilities

Norwalk Hospital is a 20-acre non-profit, community medical complex with 1,600 staffers and 350 talented physicians.  The hospital, located on Maple Street, is home to state-of-the-art medical equipment.  Norwalk Hospital is a primary teaching affiliate of the Yale University School of Medicine and has active relationships with many other prestigious colleges and universities throughout Connecticut, including the University of Connecticut and Fairfield University. 


Norwalk is close to I-95 and the Merritt Parkway.  New York City is 30 minutes away by car, and Metro North Trains run 58 minutes to Grand Central Station in NYC.  The local "Wheels" bus service covers all major streets.
